Quarters are walnut kernels in large pieces, roughly a quarter of the nut. They are the most practical grade for production because they chop and grind easily and cost less than halves. These are Greek kernels in a pale Light colour.

Buying Greek walnut quarters wholesale
We supply trade customers, with a minimum order of one 10 kg carton. Order by phone on +30 2541 200 900 or by email at sales@carpebo.com: tell us the quantity you need and we will send you an offer with prices, since Greek walnut prices change from harvest to harvest. Orders are dispatched from Thessaloniki within 2 to 3 working days of confirmation, across Greece and, by arrangement, to other EU countries.
Storage
Keep cartons at 5 to 10 °C and up to 65% relative humidity, away from light and strong smelling goods. Heat darkens the kernels and turns them rancid, so avoid unrefrigerated warehouses in summer.
Frequently asked questions
How do quarters differ from halves?
Halves are whole half kernels, while quarters are large pieces. When the walnuts are chopped or ground, quarters give the same result at a lower price.
Are they suitable for baklava?
Yes. Greek Light quarters have a sweet taste and pale colour, which is why they are widely used in baklava and walnut cake.
