Choosing the right almond
For loose sale and retail packs appearance matters, so choose Nonpareil or Ferragnes in a large size. For pastry, the smaller 30/32 and 32/34 grades give the same taste at a better price. When almonds are ground, broken Greek kernels are the most economical option, while almond biscuits and white sweets need blanched almonds.
What 27/30 and 30/32 mean
Californian almonds are graded by the number of kernels per ounce (28.35 g). 27/30 means 27 to 30 almonds per ounce, so the lower the number, the larger the kernel.
Wholesale almond prices
California grows the large majority of the world's almonds, so its crop and the euro to dollar rate move the whole market, Greek almonds included. Variety, size and form set the final price. We do not have a price list: tell us what you need and in what quantity, on +30 2541 200 900 or at sales@carpebo.com, and we will send you an offer with prices.
Ordering and delivery
We sell to trade customers only. The minimum order is one trade pack, usually a 20 or 25 kg sack or a 22.68 kg carton, and different products can share a shipment. Orders are dispatched from Thessaloniki within 2 to 3 working days of confirmation, across Greece and, by arrangement, to other EU countries.
