Greek raw almonds as broken kernels: halves split lengthwise, known in the Greek trade as feta, together with smaller pieces. They come from Greek varieties such as Ferragnes, Texas and Tuono and taste the same as whole kernels, at a lower price. They are the economical choice when the almonds will be ground, chopped or mixed into a dough.

Best uses

Broken kernels do the same job as whole ones in any recipe where the almond is not seen whole:

  • Almond biscuits, kourabiedes and sweets with ground almonds
  • Pralines, almond paste and fillings
  • Bakery products, bars and cereals
  • Industrial production in large volumes

For whole Greek kernels see our Texas and Tuono almonds.

Buying broken Greek almonds wholesale

The minimum order is one 25 kg sack. Greek almond prices follow the harvest and the international market, so we quote at the time of ordering on +30 2541 200 900 or at sales@carpebo.com. Industrial volumes and regular deliveries are priced by agreement. Orders are dispatched from Thessaloniki within 2 to 3 working days of confirmation, across Greece and, by arrangement, to other EU countries.

Storage

Broken kernels expose more surface than whole ones, so they need protection from heat and moisture. Store sacks in a cool, dry place, ideally up to 10 °C and below 65% relative humidity, on pallets and away from strong odours.
