Tuono is a self fertile Italian almond variety that is now grown in many Greek orchards. It gives a kernel with a sweet, full flavour, popular with pastry shops, nut shops and packers. We supply it raw and whole, from Greek production.

Buying Greek Tuono almonds wholesale
We sell to trade customers, with a minimum order of one sack of 20 or 25 kg. Greek crop volumes are limited, so for steady needs we suggest booking quantities early in the season. Prices and availability on +30 2541 200 900 or at sales@carpebo.com. Orders are dispatched from Thessaloniki within 2 to 3 working days of confirmation, across Greece and, by arrangement, to other EU countries.
Storage
Raw almonds keep well when cool and dry: up to 10 °C and below 65% relative humidity. Moisture can bring mould and heat changes the taste. Keep sacks closed, on pallets, away from sunlight and odours.
Frequently asked questions
How does Tuono differ from Ferragnes?
Both are European varieties grown in Greece. Ferragnes gives a large, elongated kernel, while Tuono stands out for its sweet, full flavour.
When is the new crop available?
Almonds in Greece are harvested from late August through September. New crop kernels are available after cracking and sorting, usually from the autumn.
Do you sell them roasted?
Our almonds are supplied raw. Roasting is easy to do in your own workshop, to the degree your product needs, with or without salt.
